Gas risk assesment, design and verification services include:
- Gas risk assessments and appraisals for regulatory approval
- Conscise easy to follow design reports that clearly identify the risk, the protection measures required, full materials specifications, venting calculations, detailed site specific drawings and verification plan.
- Stand alone gas protection verification plans
- Design and implementation of gas membrane integrity testing strategies.
- Inspections of the gas protection systems as per CIRIA 735 and verification plan.
In order for us to provide a quote for the above, we usually require the following information:
• Preliminary Risk Assessment (also referred to as Phase 1 report(s), Desk Study).
• Geo-Environmental Site Investigation Report(s) (also referred to as Phase 2 report(s)).
• Proposed development layout plan.
• Clarification of any cut to fill / earthworks / ground improvement / ground engineering / ground stabilisation proposals.
• Confirmation of proposed foundation / floor slab construction proposals.
Once the above is received it will be reviewed free of charge and a quote provided for MEC’s ground gas mitigation design / verification service.
Typically the initial review and quotation takes 2 to 3 days from receipt of the information.
